Welcome to Monowander. These Terms of Service set out the rules for using our website, products, app, and membership. They're written in plain language so you know exactly where you stand. By using monowander.com or any Monowander product or service, you agree to these terms.

1. About These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form an agreement between you and Monowander ("we", "us", "our"). They apply to everything we offer: our website, our physical products, our mobile app, our paid membership, and our digital guides. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Shipping Policy, which are all part of these Terms.

If you don't agree with these Terms, please don't use our website or services.

2. Who Can Use Monowander

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your location, to buy from us or hold an account or membership. By using Monowander, you confirm you meet this requirement and that the information you give us is accurate.

3. Our Products & Services

Monowander offers:

Physical products — personal safety devices, travel accessories, electronics, and comfort and hygiene items.
The Monowander App & Membership — digital safety tools including SOS alerts, live location sharing, safe-route guidance, and a community of fellow travellers.
Digital guides — downloadable travel and safety content.

We work hard to describe and picture our products accurately, but slight variations in colour, packaging, or finish can occur. Product images are for illustration.

Monowander's safety products and app are designed to support and assist your personal safety — they are aids, not guarantees. They cannot prevent, predict, or stop crime, harm, or emergencies, and should never be relied upon as your only means of protection.

App-based features such as SOS alerts, live tracking, and safe routes depend on factors outside our control — including your device's battery, mobile signal, GPS accuracy, third-party networks, and correct setup. They may not work in all locations or situations.

Always use your own judgement, follow local laws and official emergency services, and call your local emergency number (such as 911, 999, or 112) in a genuine emergency. Monowander is not a substitute for professional or emergency assistance.

4. Orders & Pricing

When you place an order, you're making an offer to buy. We'll confirm by email once it's accepted. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order — for example, if an item is out of stock, mispriced, or we suspect fraud. If we cancel an order you've paid for, we'll refund you in full.

All prices are shown in US Dollars (USD) unless stated otherwise, and exclude any customs duties or taxes that may apply to international orders (see our Shipping Policy). We may change prices at any time, but changes won't affect orders we've already accepted.

5. Payment

Payment is taken securely at checkout through our trusted payment providers. By submitting payment details, you confirm you're authorised to use the payment method. We don't store your full card details.

6. The Monowander Membership

The Monowander App membership gives you access to our digital safety features and community for a recurring fee, billed in advance.

Your membership renews automatically each billing period until you cancel.
You can cancel at any time by emailing support@monowander.com; cancellation stops future billing and takes effect at the end of your current paid period.
Membership fees are non-refundable for the current period once it has begun, except where required by law (see our Refund Policy).
We may add, change, or remove app features over time as we improve the service.

7. Community & Acceptable Use

Our app includes a community for women travellers. To keep it safe and welcoming, you agree not to:

Harass, threaten, abuse, or impersonate others.
Post false, harmful, illegal, or misleading content.
Share another person's private information without consent.
Misuse safety features (for example, false SOS alerts).
Attempt to hack, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to our systems.

We may suspend or remove any account that breaches these rules, to protect our community.

8. Digital Products & Intellectual Property

Our digital guides and app content are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute them. All content on monowander.com — including text, logos, designs, images, and the Monowander name — is our property or used under licence, and is protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not use it without our permission.

9. Returns & Refunds

Our return and refund terms, including our 30-day money-back guarantee and the rules for hygiene and digital items, are set out in full in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Monowander is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of our website, products, app, or services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product or service in question.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. This clause does not affect your statutory consumer rights.

11. Disclaimers

Our website and services are provided "as is" and "as available". While we work hard to keep everything accurate and running smoothly, we don't guarantee the site or app will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit a particular purpose. Health, hygiene, and safety products are not medical devices and do not provide medical advice.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time as our products and services evolve, or as the law changes. The "last updated" date at the top shows the latest version. By continuing to use Monowander after changes are posted, you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the jurisdiction in which Monowander operates. Any disputes will be handled in the appropriate courts of that jurisdiction. This does not remove any consumer-protection rights you have under your local law.
